McCain's support of selling the Iraq war to the American people

It's no secret that most people think the Iraq war and subsequent occupation were a mistake. The American people were railroaded into a war by their own leaders (of which McCain was one, as evidenced by this video). As more details emerge from the buildup to the war, it becomes very apparent that this administration did everything they could to find intelligence and data to support their war effort while ignoring the massive evidence that Saddam and Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and represented no threat to the U.S.

As long as we allow our leaders to so easily sway us into a costly war while our economy collapses without them having to suffer any consequences, the people who run our government will continue to take advantage of our nation. Regardless of what happens to this country, whether it be a terrorist attack or a natural disaster, we need to continue to question our government and make sure they are doing the right thing. When we fail to question our government we are nothing more than sheep being led to the slaughter.
